I had been searching for a product to help with rid my face of all these dark marks that I have on my face (I pick at bumps on my face), and on my search I found the OZ Naturals website. After looking over the site and reading up on the different products that would help with my problem. I noticed that they were allowing people to receive the product for FREE in exchange for giving an honest review, and jumped right on it (what do I have to lose).
With that being said I have used the OZ Naturals Face Peel only twice. Once because I wanted to try it, and see if it would help my skin any and two because the instructions tell you not to exceed more than 2 times a month. Inside the box is the peel solution itself, which is 50% Glycolic Acid, about 5 gauze pads, and a set of instructions.
This product is really AN ACID, they just don't say that to fool you, so please keep it away from your children. I like to keep mine in the box, so if it accidentally breaks it will sort of be contained.
Before you start to apply the product make sure that you make the neutralizing solution. I decided to make a double batch to ensure that I would have enough. Using plain water will not work, you need to make the solution in order to bring the ph of your skin back down to normal.
I decided not to spread the peel all over my face but focus more on my problem areas, because I have some dark spots on my face from acne, and wanted to focus on getting rid of those. So, it mainly went on my forehead, my chin, a little above my upper lip and a few spots on my cheek.
When I started to apply it, it immediately started to burn a little, but nothing to intense, that I couldn't handle. I waited about 2 minutes before I started to rinse it with the neutralizing solution.I felt like that was a sufficient amount of time to help with the lightening of the marks on my face (and plus I was a little scared, who wouldn't it's an ACID ON MY FACE). I have to say that when I started to apply the solution it was a little worse than having the acid on my skin, because it was bubbling from the acid, base reaction that produces heat; but then of course it started to get better.
After using it the first time, I was expecting to see at least a little peeling, but there wasn't anything. I did the second peel about 3 weeks after that repeating the process exactly the same. I still hadn't experienced any peeling, but I just attribute those things to the fact that I really didn't leave it on for the full 4 minutes. Plus, it didn't have any adverse affects such as red or blotchy skin.
Even though I hadn't experienced any peeling, I think that it really is helping with my skin. It is smoother than what it was before and the dark marks are starting to lighting up. I am going to continue to use it once a month as routine maintenance on my skin.
One thing that I would suggest is having a pair of gloves on while you are doing this. Although you aren't putting it directly on your hands in order to apply it to your face, the acid still soaks through the gauze a little and it's best to be safe than sorry.
